I purchased an Angler 204wa in Oct. '06. I also knew I wasn't getting a Contender or similar boat. For the money I am happy with my investment. Of course I didn't spend anywhere near the money you did.
Sure it doesn't have the best fit and finish, some hardware could be better, etc. So far the boat has held up well being used on Lake Erie. Would I rather have a Grady, Pursuit or other more expensive boat? Of course I would, but that wasn't an option. This boat gets me out on the lake to go fishing and that all I wanted. I feel safe in it and catch as many fish as the next guy. Thats all I care about. So far...so good

Love my 180F. No problems whatsoever.

Personally, I am surprised they haven't sent you a Cease and Desist Order for libelous statements made on your website. To exercise your feedom of speech by speaking of your individual situation is one thing but making unfounded and business damaging statements might come back to hit you in the pocketbook far worse than your unfortunate experience with your boat ever has.

I have a 1993 220 w/a with a single 225 outboard
that I purchased new 3/93.
It has been used by the whole family for over
700 hrs in the gulf here, some daily captains
are not well versed on the right way to drive
and therefore it probally could have been treated
alot better.
I have had a few gelcoat crackes on the rear
near the transome but it had over 500hrs before
they appeared. No electrical problems at all-replaced the rear blidge once. It stays covered
all winter but sits just a few hundred feet from
the coast-stainless needs a litte cleaning up each spring.
All in all for the money its been one hell of a buy-its out lasted my brothers 93 pro-line parked
next to it with half the hours (Needs sub-floor).
WE HAVE RUN THE PEE OUT OF THIS BOAT EACH SUMMER
AND IT HAS NEVER BEEN PULLED A FOOT_AND NEVER
SPRUNG A LEAK_- I am looking for 252 w/a to replace the pro-line as we speak!

Some friends and I are considering buying a used Angler 252 CC and ran across this web site. I have reviewed this website and have come to some conclusions (right or wrong). I think the boat has a legitimate transom issue. Another poster offers a good explanation that four strokes are typically wider than two. Perhaps the transome was drilled for two strokes and then someone changed the rigging order to four strokes. Who Knows at this point? The other issues are incidental and very common to boating and appear to be rooted in vengence. As best I can tell, Angler agreed there were issues with your boat and offerd solutions and even a new one. This shows me Angler wished to satisfy you and make you "whole". I beleive early in the warranty issue negotiation with you, Angler realized (most likely from your demeanor)It was unlikely that you COULD be satisfied.I don't think there was any issue with your boat that Angler could not or would not handle if given COOPERATION and opportunity. The warranty process is difficult at best for the consumer and the manufacturer, especially with numberous problems. And to get through it there needs to be A lot of understanding and patience. Both parties will have teeth prints in there tonques when it's over! I believe Angler came to the party and you left them standing there. The new boat offer was their last attempt at satisfying you. The eight page legal document is standard fare from a manufacturer that wishes to make a customer "whole" and do the right thing, but wants to make sure they don't have to revisit the issue with someone they have found to be unreasonable. It's too late for you and Angler to kiss and make up, but my suggestion would be to accept their boat (if you have'nt already) and terminate this web-site. It would be the honorable thing to do in my opinion. Obviously, (from reading other posts) your experience with Angler was the exception, not the rule.

I've owned 2 Anglers. A 2000 220CC and my current boat a 2600CC. Both boats were free from any defects. My current 2600 has taken severe beatings in the Atlantic. I've crossed over to the Bahamas twice and am planning 2 more trips this summer. I've yet to find any structural defects, cracks, etc....
I do think that your 2 motors were too close together and that is something that should have been resolved.

Overall I think they are great boats for the money. Reliable and tough.

I have owned an Angler 204fx for 4 years without as much as a single stress crack. I regularly take it in the ocean as far as 30 miles offshore. I would DEFINITELY buy another one based upon my experience. Bye the way, your "bullet holes" appear to be caused by improper maintainance. I've seen this problem many times. Water can get into any of these t-tops through the rigging tubes and then freeze during the winter. Covering your boat would have solved the problem.
