Was a Mako(M) Dealer from 1972-2004.Took Angler(A)on in 2000 and still a dealer.A lot of bang for your buck.(A)are built like the old(M)except(M)used a reverse hull flange and used wood stingers, transoms, and decks.Gerritt Walsh was my(M)sales rep and is now pres.of(A).Had one hull crack with(A).(A)replaced the hull at no charge to owner. Never an issue being paid for warranty.(A)is 100% hand laid and fully foamed after the two halfs are mated together.Fuel tank pods are on every(A).Fuel tank access is a breeze.(A)does not put many bells and whistles and their price reflects that.Know your dealer and do your research on that dealer.I don't have to sell boats to pay bills and if I had unhappy(A)Owners then I would not be a dealer.Gerritt and Elio are great folks and would not be where they are by cheating and mistreating.I lay fault in your attitude and your dealer.A great meal can be ruined by a bad wait staff.U spit in my face and I probably would not be so kind back. I found a 2003 Angler GrandeBay 22 and after research I had the boat at my house for a day of inspection checked the hull with a plumbing camera /light. >>Not one crack in the inner hull inc full stringer system, a fish box drain hose pulled loose, bad Yamaha switch panel (149$),Drain holes small -some full of leaves, a gel coat spider crack by console(it was checked from the underside- no issue),gal coat in the C console peeling. I was extremely impressed with the construction-hull had not one glass crack and wood free, deck lids glass and insulated, gel coat issues minimal for a 8yo boat, inner liner/hull bond was very sound. Not sure if they were build shoddy prior to this 2003 model being built but this is a very well constructed boat with less than normal wear. I purchased the boat after having a great time with a camera/light and have the same opinion of the boat and will not buy another used boat (any brand) without this type of inspection.

I bought a new 2002 2100CC Angler Boat with a 200HP Yamaha back in July 2002 and it is still in perfect working conditions. Pleased with the performance in rough seas, specially after a hidro stabilizer was installed. Recon it is overpowered but has been usefull when rough seas require a jump out of the hole.
I shall recommend to flush frequently the bilge and fish and equipment wells since the drainage pipe is quite small and tends to get clogged easily. Some electrical cabling issues requiring attention due to connectors deterioration, normal in the sea environment.

How can this guy claim that Angler has no hull warranty? He ended up with a new boat.

I bought my Angler 204 new in 2005 since then I have taken it to the Abacos every summer. This boat has been through some really rough weather with no problems.
I use my boat at least twice every week, I live on the water and keep the boat on a lift and I'm telling you this boat is the best boat I have ever owned and I have been boating in South Fl. for over 50 years. We use the boat for sking, (also barefooting with a boom attached to the t-top), diving and lots of fishing.
People ask me "aren't you afraid to take that little boat to the Abacos by yourself" and I say no worries she's an Angler
So I have trouble believing your problems aren't self-inflicted, anyway have an Angler day.

I own a 2005 Angler 230B with a Yamaha 225 4 stroke. The only issue I had was some cracking on the t top aluminum but Angler took care of the problem with no issues. The boat has normal wear signs but you would get that on any boat. The boat still looks good and runs great. People still think it’s a new boat. It is true I maintain it well and that has a lot to do with it. It’s a good family/ fishing boat. I’ve been out there fishing with contenders and sea vee's and I’ve been able to hang with them just fine. For the money and bang for your buck Angler is a good choice.

First off, all the brands have horror stories. Second, those pictures show a boat full of leaves. I dont believe your boat has been covered properly as you claim. The engine mounts appear to have been remounted. The corrosion on the engine alone shows inadequate washdown.

I do agree the manufacture is at fault in regards to the transom and spider cracks etc. I would be pissed too. But make no mistake as I first stated this occurs in other top tier boats.

100+K on a boat is alot to spend, serious research is needed before you drop that coin, I think Angler are "good" boats but not worth that amount.

Yes all boats have water in them. that is natural it's just that there is not enough water for your float swich to turn on. Now if your problem is worst change your float swich
